During the last six months, an Oxford court handed out punishments to thieves who stole from Aldi.
The thieves both appeared in court after stealing meat products and alcohol from the discount supermarket.
On December 29, Damien Paintin, of Saunders Road in Oxford, appeared at court for a theft which took place on August 12.

Paintin pleaded guilty to stealing £50.95 of alcohol belonging to Aldi in Headington.
The 32-year old was committed to prison for 16 weeks.
In the court documents its stated the offence was “so serious” because the offence was committed whilst subject to a suspended sentence.
On August 12, David Seager, of Fallowfiled in Witney, appeared in court for a theft he committed on November 12 2020.
47-year old Seager pleaded guilty to stealing meat products to the value of £72.81 belonging to Aldi in Carterton.
He was made to pay compensation of £72.81.
