OXFORD Stadium has revealed a taxi firm as its first ‘key partner’.

The partnership with 001 Taxis sees the company become the official taxi provider for Oxford Stadium, ahead of its reopening this year.

A butler will be on site at all times so visitors can get a cab, with taxis to be readily available directly from the venue on busy evenings.

Eddie Measey, head of development at 001 Taxis, said: “The reopening of Oxford Stadium is fantastic news for the city, and we are thrilled to be part of this exciting regeneration project.

“For decades, transporting racegoers, speedway fans and other members of the community to and from Oxford Stadium was a core part of our service.

“Our staff have fond memories of the stadium, so it was only natural for us to agree a partnership and we look forward to working with the team.”

Lisa Hust, commercial operations manager at Oxford Stadium, added: “The enthusiasm of Eddie and his colleagues demonstrates what our reopening means to local organisations and people.

“We’re pleased to be working with 001 Taxis who will be prominently placed for all occasions at Oxford Stadium as part of our commitment to making the facility accessible to everyone.

“We look forward to developing this relationship and confirming more partnerships very soon.”
