An alleged rogue trader is accused of driving his customer to the bank to take out cash to pay for shoddy building work.
Jaye Cardy, 28, denies the allegations linked to what prosecutors claim was shoddy renovation works to a house off the A44 near Chipping Norton in summer 2020 and for which he is accused of charging £15,900.
It is alleged he drove the customer to the bank so he could withdraw cash.
Appearing before Oxford Crown Court, Cardy, of Aldenham, Hertfordshire, pleaded not guilty to fraud, engaging in misleading and aggressive commercial practices, and contravening regulations concerning professional diligence.
The offences are alleged to have been committed between July 15 and August 17, 2020.
Judge Maria Lamb fixed the trial to start on September 5. The trial is expected to last between three and four days.
