A grandson admitted injuring his grandmother in an attack that saw her struck with a door.
Matthew Leigh, 24, of Laburnum Crescent, pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm to his grandmother in Kidlington on November 5 last year when he appeared before Oxford Crown Court on Friday.
Judge Maria Lamb agreed to an application by Leigh’s lawyers for the case to be adjourned so pre-sentence reports could be compiled by the probation service and a psychiatrist.
Remanding him in custody to return to court on March 4 for sentence, she told the youngster: “I will order a pre-sentence report but you should understand, obviously, that doesn’t hold out any indication of what will happen on the next occasion because this is a very serious matter.”
