More than 30 drivers get busted by police for offences from not having insurance to drug driving.

Automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) was used as part of an operation on the A4130 Didcot and A4074 Benson.

More than 30 vehicles were stopped for not having insurance, having no licence, having no tax, for seat belt offences, careless driving, load, tyre and condition offences. Two arrests were made for driving while under the influence of drugs.

This comes after 104 people were arrested in Oxfordshire as part of the force’s annual Operation Holly campaign targeting those driving over the alcohol or drug limit in the run up to Christmas and the new year.

There were 54 arrests for drink driving and 50 for driving while over the drug limit.
