POLICE have urged people to call 999 if they see this man in Oxford.
Vasile Iroftei, 31, is wanted by police after a spate of dangerous and terrifying sex attacks in the city between 2019 and 2020.
The attacks were carried out by a man collecting scrap metal who would talk his way into the back gardens of several women, all in their 30s. He would then forcibly kiss and touch them.
Iroftei is described as a Romanian/Eastern European man, with a heavy Eastern European accent. He is around 5ft 6-8inches tall, stocky build with very short or shaved dark hair and stubble.
He is also known to go to Wolverhampton.
If Iroftei is seen in public, then call 999 and do not approach him. To provide information about his whereabouts, call 101.
Detective Constable James Salt, based at Oxford police station, said: “I would like to speak to Vasile Iroftei regarding this investigation and am appealing for assistance from anyone who may know of him or his whereabouts.
“If anyone has any information that could assist, then please call Thames Valley Police on 101 and quote reference 43200233611.
“Alternatively if you wish to remain anonymous, then information can be passed through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
