A group of suspected hare courses have been arrested and their dogs seized.
Officers from Thames Valley Police’s rural crime taskforce swooped after reports of hare coursing near Easington on Boxing Day.
The banned sport uses hunting dogs - typically lurchers or whippets - to chase down and kill hares.
On social media, Sgt Robert Maris said three men had been arrested on Sunday afternoon. Two dogs, a picture of which was posted to Twitter, and a car were seized.
“The dogs welfare and ownership will be checked whilst the suspects are in custody,” Sgt Maris wrote.
