CARE home residents received a giant Christmas card from their nursery neighbours.
Children from St Hugh of Lincoln Nursery School in Witney sent the handmade card to Care UK’s Millers Grange.
The card featured messages and festive greetings to residents, with the children also performing Christmas carols by the care home entrance.
Throughout the pandemic, residents and children have enjoyed regular chats and singalongs over the fence which separates the care home and the nursery, replacing the in-person events which used to take place.

Alison Parry, home manager at Millers Grange, said: “We’re feeling really festive here at Millers Grange, and receiving these Christmas cards was a wonderful surprise for residents.
“Intergenerational relationships have proven to be enriching for both young and older people, as they provide an opportunity for the different generations to learn from each other.
“We have a great relationship with St Hugh of Lincoln Nursery School and residents have loved seeing them over the fence throughout lockdown, and having them outside the home for Christmas carols.
“We can’t wait to be able to invite the nursery to visit us in person soon.”
