A THAME killer has been given another nine years for a spree of muggings across Berkshire.

Nathan Braim, 21, was handed a life sentence in February after jurors at Oxford Crown Court convicted him of murdering 19-year-old Joshua Harling.

The Headington man was stabbed in a street fight with Braim and Benjamin Eyles on July 22, 2020.

He got into his green VW Polo to drive away - but crashed on Chinnor Road, Thame. His car landed on its roof. He died at the scene.

Today, Braim was one of three men jailed for a total of 24 years for conspiracy to commit robbery.

Together with Kieron Agnew-Harris and Haseeb Ali, both 19, he was part of a gang that committed five robberies between May 30 and June 1 last year - a month and a half before the murder for which he's now serving a life sentence.

The robberies were committed in Woodley, Flackwell Heath, Reading, Maidenhead and Cookham.

Ali and Agnew-Harris were involved in all five of the muggings. Braim took part three, when the gang threatened members of the public and knifepoint and snatched their belongings.

Harriet Driver, the investigating officer, said: “I am pleased that these three men have been sentenced today and accepted responsibility for their actions.

“They threatened innocent members of the public with knives and in one instance it was reported that a machete was seen.

“Carrying a knife is not tolerated and the effects that knife crime can have are far reaching, impacting victims, their families and local communities.

“Officers work tirelessly to bring offenders justice and these three will now spend time in prison to reflect on their actions.”

Braim received a further nine years’ imprisonment.

In February, Braim received life imprisonment with a minimum term of 19 years after jurors unanimously convicted him of murder, conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of a weapon.

The jury heard victim Mr Harling had struck out with a metal bar on the night of the murder. Braim retaliated by stabbing him at least twice, including a fatal stab wound to the chest.

Judge Ian Pringle QC told Braim and co-defendant Benjamin Eyles, who received eight years for manslaughter: "No sentence that I make pass and nothing I can do today will ever compensate for the devastating loss of the actions of you both.”

He added: "You Nathan Braim knew what you had done. [Eyles] then gave you a lift back home. The knife has never been found, only you know where it was disposed of or concealed.”
