THE CORONAVIRUS hotspots have been mapped using official government data. 

In the latest figures, the virus can be tracked to postcode level - revealed exactly where numbers of people have tested positive for coronavirus over the last week. 

The number of cases recorded in each area over the seven days to December 17 are listed below. 

The area with the most coronavirus cases in Oxford is the city centre with 233 people infected.

The area with the least number of covid cases in Oxford is Greater Leys with 48 people infected. 

The area with the highest number of new cases compared to last week figures is East Oxford. 

The area with the lowest number of new cases compared to last weeks figures is Greater Leys with only seven new cases since last week.

Headington: 116 cases in total (up 56 from the week before)

Barton: 75 cases in total (up 36 from the week before) 

Risinghurst and Sandhills: 104 cases in total (up 70 from the week before) 

Summertown: 71 cases in total (up 23 from the week before) 

North Central Oxford: 85 cases in total (up 35  from the week before) 

Botley and Kennington: 98 cases in total (up 36 from the week before) 

Grandpont and New Hinksey: 95 cases in total (up 28 from the week before) 

Osney, Jericho and Port Meadow: 92 cases in total (up 42 from the week before) 

Wolvercote and Cutteslowe: 74 cases in total (up 51 from the week before) 

The data is published on a seven-day rolling toll and are the latest figures available.
