A model Christ has been snatched from a church crib, police said.
*UPDATE: BABY JESUS HAS NOW BEEN RETURNED*
Officers said the baby Jesus had been taken from a straw-filled wooden crib outside St Mary's Church, Witney, overnight.
Writing on social media, officers from Thames Valley Police's west Oxfordshire division asked: "Please keep your eyes peeled."
They finished the post with a hashtag ‘Happy Christmas’.
