A MAN has been arrested for dangerous driving after failing to stop for the police.

At around 2pm on Sunday December 12, officers attempted to stop a white Ford Focus ST near Bicester, however the driver failed to stop.

The Focus was then pursued by officers along the B4100 through Stoke Lynne and then back on to the B4100 to Caversfield where the car then stopped.

The 23-year-old driver from Bicester was arrested on suspicion of driving a car dangerously and he has since been released under investigation.

Investigating officer, Sergeant Joseph Clamp, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen this incident to please come forward.

“I’d also ask any motorists with dash-cams and who were in the local area around the time that this happened to please check any footage in case it may have captured something that could help our investigation.
