A cannabis dealer will be sentenced in February.

Ashley Davies, 28, was caught with more than 135g of the class B drug in Chesterton, near Bicester, on June 15, 2019.

He also had an offensive weapon, described in the charges as an auto-lock baton.

Appearing before Oxford Crown Court on Thursday, Davies, of St Lawrence’s Road, Coventry, pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a class B drug with intent to supply it to another.

Judge Ian Pringle QC ordered a pre-sentence report and bailed him to return to court on February 2 for sentence.

A co-defendant, Ciara Long, 26, of Avon Street, Coventry, pleaded not guilty to a charge of possession with intent to supply a class B drug. The Crown offered no evidence to support the prosecution.
