COVID rates across the county are at a record high, leading some schools having to close due to staff sickness.
The schools reported the closures on the Oxfordshire County Council website.
These are the schools closed this week:
- Gateway Primary School, Carterton: partly closed – key stage one will work remotely on December 15 and 16
- John Blandy Primary School, Southmoor: Year 5 class closed due to staff sickness until December 17
- Longford Park Primary School, Banbury: Franklin class (Reception) will be closing from Tuesday 14th December through to Friday, December 17, due to staff sickness/isolating. Franklin class (Reception) will be closing from Tuesday 14th December through to Friday 17th December
- Mabel Prichard Secondary School, Oxford: 3 classes on the primary site and 1 class on the secondary site are closed until Thursday December 16 due to staff shortages. Orange, Yellow, Blue and Platinum Classes.
- Springfield School, Witney: Partial closure until December 15 for Early Years class following business continuity plan due to staffing and therefore health and safety levels.
- The Oxford Academy, Littlemore: partly closed today due to staff illness
- St Peter's CE School, Alvescot: partly closed due to staff sickness until January 5
