Fantastic snaps are taken by the Oxford Mail Camera Club throughout the year.

The Oxfordshire photographers capture picturesque countryside scenes, sunrises, snow and cute animals from across the county.

To remember all the amazing photographs we are looking back at some of our favourite snaps of the year.

January

After an icy and snowy start to 2021 Robert Beasley took a snap of a light dusting of snow taken at Thrupp Lake in Radley.

The talented photographer captured the delicate flakes of snow as they fell around tree branches.

February

Ness Ling's brilliant picture of the spinning night sky was the Camera Club winner for the 'patterns' theme competition in February.

The photograph shows the stars as the earth spins throughout the night.

To mark the beginnings of spring and new life Martha Woodley took a very cute picture of some yellow ducklings on a bed of daisies.

Ian White snapped a cat walking across a canal boat on the river in Oxford to capture urban life in the city.

May

Camera Club snapped the wild side of Oxfordshire in May and Mark Guschtscha took a great picture of a horse on Port Meadow.

June

Mark Bentley snapped a brilliant and funny picture of a dog paddling through water to catch its ball for the weekly competition.

July

For the theme of reflections Shez McKechnie captured the mood of the Covid ward in his picture of a patient looking out the hospital window. In the picture you can see the patients' reflection in the window at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford.

Photographer Adrian Whareham snapped an 'otterly' adorable picture of two otters resting on the riverside for an animal themed Camera Club competition.

Rodney Hughes captured a deer hiding in a field of wheat for the competition theme of 'hiding'. The picture shows the deer looking startled as it pokes its dead above the crops.

To snap all things autumnal Camera Club took pictures of everything orange for Camera Club. Wendy Meagher snapped a beautiful pictures of a bumble bee resting on an orange leaf.

The Oxfordshire skyline is one of the most photographed in the UK and Camera Club love to capture brilliant skylines from across the county. Simon Gannon took a brilliant picture of a couple sitting on a bench in South Park with a picturesque view of the dreaming spires.

December

As the year came to an end the frosty weather returned photographers started capturing icy scenes. Linda Robertson took a picture of a plant covered in ice with the sun shining behind.
