Schools in Oxfordshire have announced closures for pupils. 

The schools reported the closures on the Oxfordshire County Council website.

Aureus School in Didcot has said it is only part open due to staff sickness.

The school is closed to Year 9 pupils due to “significant” staffing shortages until December 10.

In Witney, The Blake Church of England Primary School is also partially closed due to staff sickness.

The school has said there will be no school this week for children in 5FH, owing to “exceptional levels” of staff sickness.

As well as this, there will be no lessons for for children in 5AH on December 10 also due to sickness.

The school said: "Work has been provided online for the children. We anticipate school being open for all children in Year 5 on Monday 13th December."

Fitzwaryn School in Wantage has been only partially open since November 29 and will not fully reopen until December 10.

This week the Student Centre and Hazel class have been closed, on December 9 Ash class will be closed and on December 10 the Maple class will close.

The school has said: “Families will be updated regarding arrangements for the last week of term on Thursday 9th December".

At Long Furlong Primary School, only the nursery class will be closed on December 10. 

Mable Prichard School has announced the Orange, Yellow, Blue and Platinum Classes will be closed until December 16 due to staff shortages. 

Springfield School announced a partial closure for December 10 for the Early Years class ND. 

All of this week The Oxford Academy has closed Years 12 and 13 and placed the pupils on home learning.

This is due to “staff absence”.
