A DRIVER has been arrested following a police chase – while testing positive for cocaine and with more than £500 of stolen items in the vehicle.
Officers from the Thames Valley Police roads policing team located the vehicle in Kidlington last night, with it making off from officers.
The vehicle was stopped following a pursuit, with the driver providing a positive drug wipe for cocaine.
More than £500 of shoplifted items were found in the vehicle, and the driver was arrested.
The legal limit for cocaine while behind the wheel is 10mcg per one litre of blood.
The limits set for various drugs are different, and for illegal drugs, the limits are extremely low, but to a level to rule out any accidental exposure, for example through passive smoking.
