The owners of a pedigree cat have put out a £1,000 reward for his safe return, as they are “absolutely desperate” to get him home.
His owners fear he has been stolen to be sold on at Christmas.
Claude is a Siberan Forest cat who has been missing from Marlborough Road in the Grandpont area of South Oxford since November 26.
He is described extremely large and "impressive-looking", with cream with brown markings.
Owner Rebecca Holdsworth said: “There has been a spate of pedigree cat thefts in Oxford and across the country over the past year, and in the run up to Christmas we fear he may have been stolen in order to sell on.
“He’s a local celeb in these parts and often remarked on. He’s extraordinarily friendly and characterful - dog-like in personality - and enjoys lying flat on his back for strokes.”
“We are offering the reward no questions asked to anyone who provides information which can get Claude home or brings him home themselves.”
If you have any information about Claude you can contact Rebecca on 07530564482.
