A man from Birmingham was charged almost £800 pounds for driving without insurance in Didcot.

Gabriel Cosmin Banea, 23, from Spring Road, Tyseley, Birmingham, pleaded guilty for driving a vehicle without third party insurance, on the A34 in Didcot, on May 28.

He appeared at the Oxford Magistrates Court on November 28; he has to pay a total of £775 by December 14.

The total includes a fine of £623, a surcharge to fund victim services of £62, £90 in costs and his driving record was endorsed with six points.

His actions did not complied with the requirements of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988 Contrary to section 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
