Nobel Laureate and activist Malala Yousafzai has graduated from the University of Oxford

The Pakistani activist, who was shot in the head by the Taliban in 2012 after angering them with her campaigns for girls' education, shared photographs of the occasion on social media.

She completed her degree in philosophy, politics and economics last year but her graduation ceremony was delayed due to Covid-19.

Images posted on Twitter and Instagram show Ms Yousafzai dressed in her robes posing underneath the Bridge of Sighs on New College Lane and outside Radcliffe Camera, alongside images of her with friends and family.

One picture is of Ms Yousafzai with her new husband, Pakistaini Cricket Board manager Asser Malik.

Another image shows Ms Youafzai with her parents, Ziauddin Yousafzai and Toor Pekai Yousafzai.

She captioned the post "some Latin was said and apparently I have a degree".

In 2013, she co-authored the book I Am Malala, an international best seller.

Ms Yousafzai became the youngest ever Nobel Peace Prize winner in 2014, winning the accolade for her work campaigning for girls to have a universal right to education.

The activist has also set up the Malala Fund, which aims to support the education of girls around the world.
