A MAN has been fined more than £1,700 for not wearing a face covering in a kebab shop.
Shehryar Butt, 36 of Devon Way in Banbury appeared in Oxford Magistrate's Court on Friday November 12.
He was fined £1760 for not wearing and continuing not to wear a face covering in Britannia Kebab House in Banbury without a 'reasonable' excuse.

At the time of the offence, on June 26, 2021, wearing a face covering inside a public space was a Covid regulation.
Butt has been fined £1,760.00 for not wearing a mask and he has to pay £176 surcharge to fund victim services plus costs of £90.
He has been ordered to pay a total of £2,026 by December 10, 2021.
