FIREFIGHTERS had to make a dramatic rescue after a car crashed into a ditch.
Emergency services scrambled to the roadside last night and when they arrived the driver was trapped inside.
Teams from Henley and Caversham Road stations had to make sure the car was stable before walking the person out on the passenger side.
Thames Valley Police officers then drove them home to safety.
Writing on Facebook, Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue said: “On arrival crews were faced with one person on the drivers side stuck due to the position of the car but not physically hurt.
“After stabilising the vehicle and putting casualty care in place, they managed to walk the person out on the passenger side.
“Thames Valley Police were also in attendance and assisted the person to their home.”
