A convicted drug dealer and ‘Soak’ graffiti tagger has been jailed for assaulting a West Country cop.

Oxford man Charlie Silver, 30, was sent down for 16 weeks after he was found guilty of attacking a police officer in Bristol.

Silver, who according to court records lived in Upper Fisher Row, assaulted the female officer in St Werburghs, Bristol, on August 5 last year.

He was found guilty at a trial at Bristol Magistrates’ Court in June but it wasn’t until November 22 that he was sentenced for his crimes – having failed to turn up at court for a hearing in the summer.

Silver also admitted possession of five Clonazolam tablets, a class C drug.

In 2015, he was jailed for 28 months at Oxford Crown Court for peddling MDMA, hallucinogen 2C-B and cannabis. Police found the stash of drugs, worth up to £4,000 in his car in St Margaret’s Road, Oxford, the previous November.

Later in 2015, Silver received another 10 weeks inside for a wave of graffiti damage across the city centre and North Oxford.

The artist was arrested with a rucksack full of marker pens, paint and spray paint in November 2014, as well as pieces of paper with his trademark ‘Soak’ tag.
