The ‘longest running indoor fair’ in Oxford will return to the city in December this year.

The 40th Winter Green Fair will take place in Oxford’s Town Hall on St. Aldate’s, December 4.

Local ‘ARTivist’, poet and campaigner, Dr Dianne Regisford, will open the event.

According to the organisers, just like in previous years “it is hopped that Green Santa drops in”.

Postponed due to the pandemic, the fair was originally schedule for 2020, therefore, Mr Eden and his team were determined to find a safe way to stage the fair this year.

Organiser, Tim Eden said the fair has become an Oxford institution, “sorely missed last year”.

Mr Eden said: “We are making some changes but visitors will still be able to enjoy large numbers of eco-friendly stalls featuring arts, crafts and interesting festive gifts.

“We will also see the return of campaign stalls, the vegetarian and vegan food café, the infamous magic book stall and live music.”

Oxford’s Green Fair is organised by Oxfordshire Green Party and run by volunteers and supporters.

Doors open at 10.30am and close at 4.30pm.
