IMAGES of a man have been released after an attempted robbery in Oxfordshire.

The incident happened on Friday when two offenders entered the garden of a property on St Leonards Road, Wallingford, at around 3pm.

One approached the door and appeared to be fiddling with the handle while trying to look inside the property.

The other was seen trying to open the door to a garden shed.

Thames Valley Police has now released two images of a man officers would like to speak to about the attempted robbery.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Richard Whitcombe, based at Abingdon police station, said: “We are releasing the images of this man as we believe he may have information that could help the investigation.

“Anyone who recognises this man, or if you are pictured, please get in touch by calling 101 or making a report online, quoting reference 43210512748.

“Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact the independent charity, Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111 or via their website.”
