The best companies to work for this Christmas have been revealed, according to staff reviews.

CoursesOnline compiled the research by using data from Glassdoor, an anonymous website where employees review companies.

The team looked at the percentage of current and former staff on Glassdoor would recommend a company to someone looking for a job.

The sectors surveyed included companies in the delivery, fashion, and supermarket spheres, along with a more generic ‘General Retail’ category.

The Body Shop came out on top, and well ahead of the rest, with 98 per cent of previous employees recommending the brand to a friend.

TK Maxx took second place with 88 per cent recommendation rate and in the bronze position River Island scored 83 per cent.

In contrast, a number of delivery companies such as Amazon, Hermes, and DPDgroup were nowhere near as well regarded. They received recommendation ratings of 43 per cent, 30 per cent, and 16 per cent respectively.

Sarah-Jane McQueen, general manager at CoursesOnline said: “Just because a job might be temporary, that doesn’t detract at all from what a great learning experience it can be.

“Teamworking, organisational skills, and working to meet deadlines are a few examples of things that you can pick up in a few weeks and are useful no matter what you want to do afterward.

“Employers will be happy to see that you’ve got the drive and initiative to seek out these learning opportunities and that you’ve got some real-world experience to go with it”.
