Where: 252 The Westgate, Queen Street, Oxford, OX1 1PE
In brief: Therapie UK Ltd wants to open the shop called Therapie Clinic at the Westgate Centre.
If it gets the green light from Oxford City Council, it plans to strip-out and fit-out the existing retail unit.
Therapie Clinic says it aims to 'provide a high quality fit out to all their clinics, with good design at the heart of this, featuring quality materials and finishes throughout to reflect the high standards of the business and provide a calming environment for their customers'.

In brief: The request is for a standalone car parking area which would comprise of 17 parking spaces, including two disabled spaces. The car parking spaces will ‘reduce informal parking’ in the street, ‘enhancing the visual appeal of the area and mitigating safety concerns’.
Tenants at numbers 28 to 50 St Nicholas Road and 2 to 24 Grange Road will be issued with parking permits and these will be managed by Oxford City Council’s Tenancy Management Team.

In brief: The applicant wants the demolition of an existing car wash building, in order to put a new car wash in its place, which will have a disabled toilet and storage area.

In brief: Cowleyfornia skate shop wants to change the basement of the store into a private tattoo studio, which will have rear access.
If the plans go ahead, the shop hopes the tattoo parlour will help establish it as a long term business. As tattooing and skateboarding are tightly linked, the applicant feels this will be the ‘perfect opportunity’ to provide a ‘unique’ location in Oxford.

Where: Victoria Hotel 178 – 184, Abingdon Road, Oxford, Oxfordshire, OX1 4RA
In brief:
The applicants want to demolish the Victoria Hotel and build a new ‘bespoke’, three-storey, 38-bedroom hotel in its place. This hotel will be called the Edge Hotel.
The plans state the Victoria Hotel is ‘outdated’, ‘run-down’ and in a ‘poor condition’. There have also been problems with rats and squatters, and police have become ‘concerned’ about the escalating problem of homeless people occupying the buildings. The new premises will be more energy efficient and add additional bedrooms, with the applicant believing it will give the local economy a ‘boost’.

On the land at St Frideswide Farm in north Oxford, the applicant wants permission to build 134 new homes, alongside a community pavilion and children’s play area.
The concept promotes a ‘garden village’ design and the applicant wants the new housing estate to have a ‘positive connection’ with the land’s farming history, while creating a new ‘urban extension’.

In brief: The Jericho Wharf site is described by the applicant as ‘derelict’ and ‘vacant’ and contributes ‘nothing’ to the local environment. They want to demolish the existing structures and redevelop the area by providing residential homes, a pre-school, community centre and boatyard.
