A NEW indoor market created by two keen traders in South Oxfordshire has boosted efforts to help disabled people to enjoy watersports.

The Meadows Morning Market, a new business venture at the Great Hall, in Cholsey near Wallingford, has clothing, meat, jewellery, beauty products, bread, greetings cards and other stationery items. Instead of an entry fee, its latest event saw shoppers make donations to the Wallingford Accessible Boat Club, the local charity aiming to enable disabled and elderly people to get out on the River Thames on the Wallingford reach in its Wheelyboat, WOW-one.

The voluntary donations totalled almost £100.

The market has run twice and will return on November 27.
