A PRANKSTER has changed the text on signs in Witney in protest against new and proposed development in the town.
A photo was shared on the Spotted Witney Official Facebook group, sparking a debate about whether new homes should be built in the town.

One of the signs says: 'Say no new Witney estates', while another says 'Kingfisher habitat destroyed Meadows'.
Witney resident Laura Whitelock commented: "I suppose this person wants local young couples and families to be forced to move away from their home towns due to lack of housing.
"Without the new housing being built many local people aged 20+ would be forced to move out of Oxfordshire and away from their families and then be isolated in a new county with no contacts. Is that what you want?"
Another local Catherine Wood said: "The infrastructure needs addressing before any more of these new estates."
