A police officer was said to have worked as a tree surgeon while signed off sick from his job as a PC.
PC Arun Kendall, who has since resigned from Thames Valley Police, is accused of gross misconduct. He will come before a misconduct hearing at police headquarters in Kidlington later this month.
Bosses claim the officer was ‘engaging with outside business interests as a tree surgeon’ despite being signed off on long-term sick leave at the time.
Mr Kendall, who was based at Milton Keynes police station, is said to have breached standards of professional behaviour that, if proved, would amount to gross misconduct.
The hearing will be held on November 22 and 23.
