An arrest warrant is out for an alleged drug dealer who failed to turn up for his trial.
Kyron McFarlane, 31, was due before Oxford Crown Court on Wednesday to answer allegations he was in possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin in Oxford on May 22.
When McFarlane, of Pegasus Road, Oxford, failed to turn up for the first day of his trial, Judge Maria Lamb endorsed an earlier warrant for his arrest - issued by another judge last month.
“Once this man is arrested, as he must be, he’ll be brought before the courts and if he contests the matter as he may continue to do – that is perfectly within his right – it is a relatively short trial with police witnesses,” she said. The trial is expected to last around two days.
A hearing was set for November 24, when the judge will be updated on any progress.
