HOTELS being converted into flats, homes being converted into B&Bs and bakery's being converted into restaurants are just a few of the notable items on this weeks planning list.

A HOUSE share could be converted into a bed and breakfast if plans are approved.

An application has been submitted requesting that a House in Multiple Occupation is converted into a guest house or bed and breakfast.

The property, on 303 Iffley Road, in Eas Oxford, asks for a single storey rear extension and a rear garden store to be used for bike storage and for a parking area.

The home is currently classed as a C4 HMO meaning that no more than six tenants can live in the property at one time.

If plans are approved the land owner hopes there will be enough spaces to park four cars, in comparison to the one car parking space available now.

It also hopes that there will be enough space for 10 bikes to be stores.

AN OXFORD University College has submitted an application to display flags at the front of the building.

Merton College, has submitted an application to allow for a Transgender flag to be displayed on November 20 each year.

It also asks to display a Progress Pride flag throughout February each year.

The college would use an existing flag pole placed on the Front Quad on Merton Street.

A BAKERY could be transformed in to a takeaway service if all goes ahead.

An application has been submitted to change the use of Woof Farm Bakery, on 21 Atkyns Road in Headington, into a mixed-used restaurant and takeaway.

The plans also ask for outdoor seating to be established.

The owners want to change the bakery to a pizza and pasta restaurant, which also services sandwiches and has a dessert area.

THE TOWN Hall is due some refurbishments and repairs.

An application has been submitted so refurbishments can happen in the south elevation, including masonry, window and floor repairs.

A separate application seeks approval to install a new dry riser and external inlet box to the 1930's extension of the Town Hall,

PLANS to convert a hotel into a huge seven bed home needs to be readvertised.

The owners of the four-star Parklands B&B, on Banbury Road, want to convert the current B&B into a seven bedroom dwelling, as well as a one bedroom basement flat.

This would mean the existing garages and the external fire escape route to the hotel would also be demolished.

The plans als seek to build a new 'coach house' to the rear of the garden which would create a three bedroom home.

More parking space as well as bike and bin storage would also be provided.
