Thames Valley Police have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed in Oxford

Here is everything we know so far: 

  • A man, who is in his 30s, was stabbed at around 9.50pm last night 
  • The attack happened in Blackbird Leys Park, off Pegasus Road
  • It is understood that he then walked walked through Gillians Park after the incident
  • On Wednesday evening Thames Valley Police arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of GBH. He has now been released under investigation. 
  • Police say the offenders are described as a group of black men who were all wearing face coverings at the time 
  • The victim is now recovering in hospital 
  • Investigators say it is not a 'random' attack and extra officers will be patrolling the streets today
