A TEENAGER was left with bruises and scratches after he was assaulted by a group of boys at a fair.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following the assault in Didcot.

Between 8pm and 8.30pm on Friday October 8, the victim, a 17-year-old boy, was at the fair being held at the field near Didcot Town football club when he was approached by a group of boys.

The boys then assaulted the victim by hitting and kicking him.

The victim sustained bruising to his face and head as well as scratches to his back that required medical treatment.

The offenders are described as four white boys, aged between 15 and 17-years-old, all wearing dark clothing.

Investigating officer, PC Edward Dodd, based at Abingdon police station, said: “We are appealing for witnesses to this incident, or anyone who has information, to please come forward.

“We also believe that there may be mobile phone footage of this incident and would ask the public to report this to us.

“Anyone with information can contact police by calling 101 or making a report online, quoting reference 43210371035."
