Flicking away a fag end earned a Wantage woman a £50 fine.
Kenzie Hutt, 21, admitted throwing away the ‘cigarette litter’ in Bury Street, Abingdon in May.
Rather than ignore the infraction, Vale of White Horse District Council took the matter to court.
Appearing before the magistrates earlier this month, Hutt, of Ludbridge Close, Wantage, pleaded guilty to the Environmental Protection Act offence.
She was fined £50 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge.
