Firefighters raced to a derelict building after it caught fire last night.
Crews from Banbury, Hook Norton, Bicester and Charlbury were at the scene throughout the night.
Writing on Facebook at about 8.30pm, the team said the fire had been extinguished but that firefighters would be “on scene for a while”.
It is not yet known if anybody was injured.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service shared a picture of the burnt out building, saying: “The cause of the fire is currently unknown.”
Locals commenting on Facebook suggested that the building was in Lower Cherwell Street.
