THERE were 326 recorded positive cases of coronavirus in Oxfordshire, according to the latest figures.

This is down from the 383 recorded on Monday.

Zero deaths were recorded in the county, in the latest statistics, released by the Government today.

The new cases were recorded as follows:

Oxford - 67

Cherwell - 64

South Oxfordshire - 57

Vale of White Horse - 72

West Oxfordshire - 66

These latest figures mean there has now been a total of 67,608 recorded cases of Covid-19 in the county.

Across the UK, 38,520 new people had a positive test result reported.

There were 181 deaths within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported today.

Between October 6 and October 12, there have been 795 deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test. This shows an increase of 2.3 per cent compared to the previous seven days.

In Oxfordshire, 555,085 people have received their first dose of the vaccine, while 512,458 people have received their second dose.

There were 7,003 patients in the UK in hospital with coronavirus on October 11 and of these, 747 coronavirus patients were in hospital beds with a mechanical ventilator.
