FORENSICS and police officers are at the scene of a suspected murder in Oxford.

An investigation has been launched after a man in his thirties was stabbed to death in Bayswater Road, Barton this evening.

The victim's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.

No arrests have been made and Thames Valley Police says it is working to 'establish the circumstances of exactly what has happened'.

A large scene-watch is in place in the Bayswater Road area of Oxford and the adjacent park.

Bayswater Road is closed from the crematorium to Waynflete Road, and this area, and the park is likely to remain cordoned off for a 'considerable period of time'.

Police can be seen taking photos in the park and a number of forensic tents and screens have been set up at the entrance to the park by Bayswater Brook and Bayswater Road at the junction with Stowford Road.
