With less than a month until Halloween, it's officially time to get into the spooky spirit and go pumpkin picking.

Whether you're wanting them to do some creepy carving or you're just looking for an Instagrammable day out, these are the best patches in your area. 

Picking your own pumpkins is a fun activity for all ages especially as a Halloween day out with the family.

We've put together a list of some local farms offering Pick Your Own (PYO) along with other spootacular activities and events.

Pumpkin Patches in Oxfordshire

Millets Farm Centre

Where: Millets Farm Centre, Kingston Rd, Frilford OX13 5HB

There is so much more than pumpkin picking at Millets Farm.

Their 19th and biggest ever Cornfield maze promises lots of family fun and games.

This year, the theme is World War Two which means there will be everything from code breaking to medal hunts to a “keeping our country fit” training zone and ration game.

Children can play on the usual bouncy castles and trampolines as well as see three real life Military vehicles, including a Tank.

The Pick Your Own Pumpkin fields are open daily from 9am to 5.30pm.

Peach Croft Farm

Where: Peach Croft Farm, White's Ln, Radley, Abingdon OX14 2HP

Peach Croft will definitely put you in a seasonal spirit. 

This traditional farm and shop offers their speciality free range Turkeys and Geese for Christmas .

As well as picking your own pumpkins, you can stock up on loganberries,  raspberries, black/redcurrants, broad beans, mange-tout, peas, sugar-snap peas and potatoes.

Rectory Farm

Where: Pound Ln, Oxford OX33 1HF

Another option is Rectory Farm in Staton St. John. 

You can pick fruit, flowers and vegetables all year round from their 45 acre fields. 

The Old Farm Shop

Where: Milton Hill, Steventon, Abingdon OX13 6AG

This family-run Old Farm shop should also be on your list.

You can bring the family along to visit a variety of farmyard animals as well as pick a variety of free range fruit vegetables.

Their farm is open all year round to encourage people to find out where there food actually comes from.

Hadsham Farm

Where: Horley, Oxfordshire, OX15 6BN

Hadsham farm offers pumpkin picking between the October 23 to 31 2021.

Entry is £3 per person which gies you your pumpkin sledge.

All tickets need to be pre-booked but they include access to a spooky sensory trail and sandpit play area.
