TWO men have been attacked at an Oxfordshire strip club in an incident which left one of the victims with a fractured eye socket.

The assault happened at around 4.25am on Sunday at gentleman's club Venus in Broad Street, Banbury.

The victims, two men in their twenties, were involved in an altercation that started in the men's toilets before moving onto the dancefloor.

One of the victims needed hospital treatment after suffering a fractured eye socket and cheekbone.

Police have described the offenders as male and Asian.

Investigating officer, Sergeant Daniel Madden, based at Banbury police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please come forward.

“Anyone with information can contact police by calling 101 or making a report online, quoting 43210444895.

“Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their website.”

Venus Gentlemen's Club and Bar, which advertises private dances and late night shows, closes at 4.30am on Sundays. It has a 4.3 star review according to Google.
