BRITISH sporting legend Tim Henman will be the guest of honour at an event to celebrate new on-court lighting at Blewbury Tennis Club.
The big switch on is taking place on Tuesday from 6pm.
The club is celebrating the installation of new high-tech illuminations which will allow players to enjoy the sport all year round.
The event is being hosted in partnership with Style Acre, a charity which supports 250 people with learning disabilities and autism across Oxfordshire.
The occasion will be celebrated with musical accompaniment from Blewbury Brass Band, drinks, refreshments and a raffle.
Tennis players are encouraged to bring their racket along and stay for the club social from 8pm.
The new lights were paid for via a loan from the National Tennis Association. Vale of the White Horse District Council also contributed towards the project and Luminance Pro who supplied and installed the lighting.
Tickets to the switching on of the lights can be bought via buytickets.at/styleacre/555273.
