Witney's Henry Box School has been recognised for its commitment to helping pupils stay safe online.

The school has successfully completed a comprehensive online safety training programme, and received a National Online Safety Certified School Accreditation for the second year running.

National Online Safety is an award-winning digital training provider with resources developed in line with the Department of Education’s statutory requirements.

Its CPD-accredited courses educate the whole school community – including all school staff, senior leaders, teachers and parents.

Rebecca Goddard, deputy headteacher, said: “Online safety in schools is of paramount importance. As the online world evolves, so do both the online risks facing our children. This is a real step forward for our school in this area and we have achieved this recognition as a result of our students, parents and staff all working together.”

James Southworth, co-founder of National Online Safety, said: “This demonstrates a unique kind of commitment to online safety, and one that we hope more schools will adapt to in the near future."
