A Sainsbury’s van was involved in a crash that left a woman with serious injuries.

Police urged anyone who saw the crash, which involved three vehicles, on the A34 last weekend to get in touch with officers.

The driver of a VW Polo, a 24-year-old woman, was seriously injured. She was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical but stable condition, police said.

PC Darren Baker of Thames Valley Police said: “The A34 was busy when the collision occurred and we need to identify all of the people who saw what happened.

“I would ask anybody who saw the collision or any of the vehicles beforehand, or who has a dash camera recording that may be relevant, to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 43210421141.”

A black Vauxhall Vivaro van, silver Volkswagen Polo and a Sainsbury’s liveried Mercedes Sprinter box van were involved in the crash on the A34 northbound between Abingdon and Hinksey Hill at around 2.15pm on Saturday, September 18.
