A Banbury paedophile will be sentenced next month after prosecutors confirmed they would not fight one of the charges he faced to trial.
Andrew Biggs, 23, had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to engaging in sexual communication with a teen girl in the summer of 2019. He denied a more serious charge of inciting the girl to engage in sexual activity.
Luke Blackburn, prosecuting, confirmed that the pleas were acceptable to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Defending, Scott Primmer asked the judge to adjourn the sentencing for pre-sentence and psychological reports.
Bailing him to return to Oxford Crown Court on October 27, Judge Michael Gledhill QC warned Biggs, of Bretch Hill, Banbury, he was making ‘no promises as to sentence’.
