A new supermarket is set to open in Oxford next month.

The Food Warehouse will celebrate the launch of its 150th store on October 5 as a brand-new site opens at Oxford Retail Park in Cowley.

On average, the retailer has opened more than 21 stores per year since its launch in 2014, despite the economic challenges within the sector.

After just seven years of operation, the branch at Oxford Retail Park will open as a key milestone for The Food Warehouse and to mark the occasion it is giving away £1,500 to the first 150 shoppers.

Each of the first 150 customers that enter the store will receive an envelope containing a voucher between the value of £5 and £150 to spend.

They will then also receive a free 900g tin of Quality Street upon leaving the store, simply by showing their receipt on the way out.

The 11,190 square foot supermarket will create 30 new jobs within the community.

New customers visiting the store will find a number of exclusive brands only available at The Food Warehouse (and its sister company Iceland) including Greggs, Piccolinos, Ed’s Diner, Slimming World, TGI Friday’s, Barratts, Del Monte and Harry Ramsden’s.

The store opening hours are Monday to Saturday 8am – 8pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm. Go to thefoodwarehouse.com for more information.
