A MAN who was living in supported accommodation was found dead in Oxford.

The 42-year-old man was found dead in his room in Project 41 managed by Homeless Oxfordshire last Tuesday.

He had been in regular contact with his family.

A statement from Oxford City councillor Diko Blackings, cabinet member for affordable housing, housing security and housing the homeless, said: “I am sorry to have to tell you that there has been an untimely death in our adult homeless pathway.

“The man who died was first verified sleeping rough in December 2016. He had been accommodated in various settings in the adult homeless pathway since 2017, interspersed with periods of rough sleeping.

“I would like to extend my condolences to his family and friends."

His next of kin have been notified.
