TWO deaths and 206 positive cases of coronavirus in Oxfordshire have been recorded in the latest figures.
The new cases were recorded as follows:
• Oxford (44)
• Cherwell (58)
• South Oxfordshire (33)
• Vale of White Horse (36)
• West Oxfordshire (35)
These latest figures mean there has now been a total of 59,599 recorded cases of Covid-19 in the county.
Across the UK, 30,144 new people had a positive test result reported today.
Between September 12 and today, 206,929 people had a confirmed positive test result.
This shows a decrease of 20.4 per cent compared to the previous seven days.
There were 164 deaths in the UK within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported in the latest figures.
Between September 12 and today, there has been 1,003 deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.
This shows an increase of 2 per cent compared to the previous seven days.
The latest vaccination figures reveal that more than 48 and a half million people have been given a first dose, while more than 44 million people have been given a second dose.
