TRAFFIC queues due to the International Horse Trials taking place at Blenheim Palace have been described as ‘catastrophic’.
Oxford Bus Company reported it was terminating its services before it gets to the queues on the A44 Oxford Road, Woodstock.
Due to catastrophic traffic Woodstock. 500 Services terminating at Kidlington Airport.

Due to heavy traffic in Woodstock our buses were terminating at Kidlington airport, the traffic has now cleared, so our 500 service our now RETURNING back to normal route and servicing Woodstock. We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused

Congestion was previously to the A44 Turnpike Roundabout for westbound traffic and eastbound traffic was slow from the Duke of Marlborough Junction.
Congestion is currently to Bladon Roundabout.
Traffic was also slow on routes through Bladon and Hanborough.

A Woodstock trader, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “There’s no traffic management whatsoever and Woodstock is a ghost town today.
“The butchers have got no deliveries and the farmers’ market is empty.
“Independent traders really don’t need this post-Covid.”
The trials are described by Blenheim as ‘a world-class international equestrian event and a great family day out’ with showcase eventing classes, and complimentary displays and demonstrations.
