YOU have to look twice to realise there’s actually an insect in this photograph.
That’s why it’s this week’s camera club winner.
Camera Club member Wendy Meagher managed to snap this amazing image of a green silver-lines moth on a leaf in this week’s theme which was ‘hidden’.

The insect –- if a touch darker – almost blends into the leaf it is clinging to.
According to UKMoths, it is another of the very few British green moths and the species is fairly common in wooded areas across England and Wales, but less common in Scotland and Ireland.
Flying mainly in June and July, it is attracted to artificial light.
Oxfordshire photographers were challenged to capture pictures of pets and wildlife hidden in lots of different ways either in nature or at home this week.
Next week’s competition theme is ‘food’, so post your pictures to the Oxford Mail Camera Club Facebook page to enter.
If you are lucky, your snap could feature in next week’s newspaper and you could win.
Happy snapping!
