Oxfordshire Great Big Green Week kicks off on Saturday with among a huge number of events a march from Frideswide Square.

It starts at 12.30pm and ends at Broad Meadows with music and theatre, along with speeches and a chance to find out more about green action in Oxfordshire.

Anneliese Dodds MP will be opening the event.

Great Big Green Week feeds into a national week of events around the country including talks, workshops, bike rides, repair cafes, gardening and growing sessions.

Saturday starts with Rose Hill Cycling Festival at Rose Hill Community Centre and a Ready, Steady, Cookup! cooking challenge on Broad Street.

There are also events in Eynsham, including at Eynsham Repair Cafe, a climate cook-in at the Methodist Church, Wantage, and Biodiversity Bloxham is holding events every day.

On Sunday you can join the Windrush Bike Project on a family bike ride departing from St Mary's Church, Witney, take an on-site guided tour around Westmill Wind Farm and Solar Park or attend the Harvest Festival at Barracks Lane Community Garden.

On Friday 24th September Oxford Youth Strike are staging a Climate March from 1pm leaving Broad Street and on Saturday 25th September there is a fermentation demonstration and harvest meal at Stonehill Community Garden, near Abingdon.

Love your Stuff repair cafe at West Oxford Community Centre will also be holding a darning and a junk modelling workshop and Dr Bike will be at Barton Neighbourhood Centre.

Abingdon Pre-COP26 Great Big Green Event takes place at Abingdon County Hall Museum on Saturday and on Sunday 26th September there is a Beet the Waste mini food fest at Tap Social.
